Luncheon-Meat Sales Growth Improves, But Still Down

Lunch meat sales slow in convenience stores

Perhaps showing the growing acceptance of fresh foods in c-stores, nonsliced luncheon-meat sales improved while sliced meats declined. Overall unit sales of luncheon meats were down 1.4% for the 52 weeks ending Aug. 10, 2014, per IRI, a healthy change from 2013's 10.5% drop.
