LOS ANGELES -- Boxed Water, an eco-friendly and BPA-free alternative to bottled water, has grown its availability in the upper Midwest through merchandising deals with convenience-store retailer Holiday Stationstores and grocer/c-store chain Hy-Vee.
The uniquely square-shaped cartons are now available for purchase in 384 Holiday stores and 230 Hy-Vee stores, in a range of sizes, including the 1-liter, 500-milliliter and recently added 250-milliliter packages. The growth makes Boxed Water available in over 600 stores throughout the state of Michigan and the Midwest. With Boxed Water’s office and production site in Michigan, this is the company’s most notable expansion throughout the region.
“The expanding availability of Boxed Water means that more consumers will be able to replace their PET water bottles with a great-tasting alternative that they can feel good about,” said Laura Martin, marketing manager at Boxed Water. “Our on-shelf presence in the Midwest makes it easier than ever for shoppers to reduce their environmental footprint.”
Founded in 2009, Boxed Water is an alternative to bottled water that is built on three principles: sustainability, efficiency and philanthropy. Each carton is recyclable and made using renewable paper from certified, well-managed forests. The company has offices in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Los Angeles, and is currently produced and filled in Holland, Mich.
