Casey's Adds ZUN Energy Drinks

Retailer to stock original, lite versions of "energy-plus" beverages
ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey's General Stores Inc. has reached an agreement with ZUN, a major player in the "energy-plus" drink category, to sell both ZUN Original and ZUN LITE 12-oz. lightly carbonated Brain Boosting Energy Drinks in its convenience stores.

ZUN is an delivers "instant" energy with added nutraceuticals for improved memory and focus. Its proprietary formula includes Co-Enzyme Q10 and Choline, which the Boulder, Colo.-based company said promote sustainable energy and improved mental focus.

The beverage is packaged in a retro-style rocket bottle.

"ZUN [image-nocss] is an exciting brand that taste great, looks great and adds a new level of innovation to our cooler sets. The product really stands out," said Dana Sump, category manager for Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey's General Stores.

"Casey's is a great chain with over 1,500 locations that are well managed with tight cooler sets, and we are thrilled by this opportunity to grow our Midwest footprint with them," said Brian Stearns, founder and CEO of ZUN. "Casey's makes our product even more accessible to our fans and puts us in over 15 states."

Both ZUN original and ZUN LITE are now on sale in all Casey's General Stores, QuikTrip and Kum & Go stores.Casey's operates c-stores in nine Midwestern states, primarily Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.
