Celsius Unveils Stevia-Sweetened Line Extension

Adds Apple Orchard flavor

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Celsius Inc. unveiled its newest flavor--Apple Orchard Blend--during the Natural Products Expo West trade show this past week. Apple Orchard is a new, crisp, great-tasting, naturally sweetened flavor of Celsius, according to the company.

The non-carbonated product is an addition to Celsius' line of pre-exercise fitness drinks that meets the needs of many health-conscious consumers. The new flavor is sweetened with a natural stevia-based sweetener and will be distributed through the natural, health and specialty food channels.

"Celsius is known [image-nocss] for its great taste and scientifically proven pre-exercise benefits," said Irina Lorenzi, vice president of innovation and marketing. "Consumers that choose Celsius are seeking healthier choices, and many of our customers have long anticipated a stevia-sweetened version of Celsius. We are thrilled to be able to deliver Apple Orchard Blend, a great tasting flavor."

Celsius is a pre-exercise fitness drink that has been scientifically shown to burn calories, reduce body fat, energize metabolism and provide lasting energy. Celsius contains no sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no aspartame, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and is very low in sodium. Celsius is powered by a proprietary blend of ingredients, MetaPlus, which includes green tea with EGCG, ginger, caffeine, calcium, chromium, B vitamins and vitamin C.

In other Celsius news, Lisa Valentino, a Celsius consumer who lost 180 pounds, has been making the rounds of magazine and talk shows, sharing her exercise and food and drink tips with readers and viewers.

I "found a pre-workout drink called Celsius. I tried it. And what do you know? It gave me the energy I needed to become active," she told Woman's World. Her mood began to improve within a week, and her cravings for comfort food began to disappear, the magazine reported. "Little by little, I got stronger and began to do more. Now whenever I need a pick-me-up, I go to the gym instead of the fridge."
