Crown Imports Promotes Renspie

Also names Verdu marketing VP

CHICAGO -- Crown Imports LLC recently announced the promotion of Bill Renspie to senior vice president of national accounts off-premise.

Renspie joined Barton Beers in 2002 as the national accounts director responsible for the East and Central United States. In August 2005, he was promoted to vice president of national accounts for the entire country.

He has played a key role in developing and championing Crown's high-end maximization strategy with retail customers and wholesale partners as well as in the advancement of the organization's [image-nocss] analytical and fact-based selling abilities.

Meanwhile, Chicago-based Crown Imports recently hired Paul Verdu as its new vice president of marketing, managing the Pacifico, Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo Beer brands.

He joined Crown Imports on June 4, 2007, from his previous position as marketing director at Miller Brewing Co., where he managed the caffeinated and higher alcohol brands portfolio. Prior to Miller, Verdu held key marketing positions at major consumer goods companies, including SC Johnson and Nestle USA.

The company imports, distributes and markets the Modelo portfolio and other beer brands across the entire United States. The Modelo portfolio includes Corona Extra, Corona Light, Modelo Especial, Negra Modelo and Pacifico beer brands. It also imports the St. Pauli Girl and Tsingtao beer brands in the United States. Crown Imports is a 50-50 joint venture between Grupo Modelo SA de CV and Constellation Brands Inc., a leading international beverage alcohol producer, importer and marketer.
