Cumberland Farms to Stock Celsius
Beverage will be available at more than 600 c-stores
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Cumberland Farms locations will distribute the Celsius beverage beginning in April. The stores will carry three flavors of Celsius, Your Ultimate Fitness Partner, in its coolers including Sparkling Orange and Wild Berry and Green Tea Raspberry Acai, Celsius Holdings Inc. has announced.
Kelly Michols, vice president of sales at Delray Beach, Fla.-based Celsius Holdings, said, "Cumberland Farms is a great place to go for the active Celsius customer as they have a goal to be the No 1 location for consumers on-the-go. Many exciting changes are occurring [image-nocss] within the stores including the addition of Celsius to their merchandise mix."
Celsius has been scientifically shown to burn calories and provide lasting energy, according to the company, and when combined with exercise reduces body fat and builds lean muscle, it added. Celsius contains no sugar, no high-fructose corn syrup, no aspartame, no artificial preservatives, flavors or colors and is very low in sodium. It is powered by a proprietary blend of ingredients, MetaPlus, which includes green tea with EGCG, ginger, caffeine, calcium, Chromium, B Vitamins and Vitamin C.
Framingham, Mass.-based Cumberland Farms' network of retail stores, gas stations and a support system including petroleum and grocery distribution operations spans 11 states across the Northeast and Florida, making it the largest convenience store and petroleum marketer in the Northeast. Its affiliate, Gulf Oil LP, distributes motor fuels through a network of more than 2,000 Gulf-branded stations, 12 proprietary oil terminals and a network of more than 50 other supply terminals. It supplies heating oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and kerosene to these branded retail outlets through its Gulf brand.
