TORRANCE, Calif. -- Icelandic Water Holdings hf, makers of the CarbonNeutral natural spring water Icelandic Glacial, announced today that Michael Sachs has joined Icelandic Glacial as director of global marketing for the brand and Daniel Gadomski will be leading the accounts sales team as director of national accounts.

Also, Daniel Gadomski has also joined the Icelandic Glacial team this week as director of national accounts. "We are very excited to have Michael join our team," said Jon Olafsson, chairman and co-founder of Icelandic Glacial. "[Sachs] brings a wealth of marketing experience with him, including developing strategies, launching new products and leading new business initiatives, making him an integral part of our strategy as a company."

He added, "This week, [Gadomski] joins Icelandic Glacial with solid relationships in the natural sector with a very solid background in managing national accounts, where Icelandic Glacial looks forward to continued growth. I am confident that their combined insights, enthusiasm and innovation will help Icelandic Glacial reach new levels of success."

Sourced and bottled in Olfus, Iceland, Icelandic Glacial is the world's first certified CarbonNeutral natural spring bottled water for both product and operations, the company said. Icelandic Glacial uses 100% natural green energy in the form of geothermal and hydroelectric power to fuel production, delivering a super-premium bottled water from Iceland to consumers while maintaining a "net zero" carbon footprint.

The source of Icelandic Glacial is Iceland's Olfus Spring, a naturally replenished catchment zone formed during a massive volcanic eruption more than 5,000 years ago. The spring has been deemed certifiably sustainable by Zenith International, a European food and drinks consultancy. The Olfus Spring produces water so pure that nothing is added or taken away. As a result, Icelandic Glacial possesses exceptional balance, featuring a naturally occurring low mineral content and naturally high alkaline pH level of 8.4.

Icelandic Glacial is distributed in the United States by Anheuser-Busch, which took a 20% ownership stake in the company in July 2007. Its U.S. sales office is in Torrance, Calif.
