5-Hour Energy will serve as primary sponsor of Wallace's No. 66 Chevrolet in ten 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series events, beginning with the March 21 race at Bristol Motor Speedway, in which Wallace claimed his first career Nationwide Series pole in 2007. Additionally, 5-Hour Energy will serve as an associate [image-nocss] sponsor on the No. 66 for the remainder of the 2009 Nationwide Series schedule.
Living Essentials officials said the company plans to promote the sponsorship through a variety of marketing channels, including a continuation of the company's national television advertising featuring Steve and Rusty Wallace, which began in late 2008.
"Our partnership with Rusty Wallace Racing is a great way not only to align 5-Hour Energy with an exciting young race team, but also spread the word about the hours of alertness and focus our product provides. We are looking forward to our expanded relationship with the team and are excited about getting started on the 2009 season," said Living Essentials vice president of marketing Carl Sperber.
