QuikTrip, Xyience Announce Winner in Harley-Davidson Sweepstakes

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Xyience, the maker of Xenergy, has announced that Sean Riebau of Atlanta is the QuikTrip convenience store shopper who has won its Harley-Davidson sweepstakes. Xyience and QuikTrip recently presented Riebau with a Harley-Davidson XL 883 L at a QuikTrip location in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Riebau said that he is a loyal QuikTrip shopper and names Xenergy Premium Cherry Lime as his energy drink of choice. "I shop at various QT stores, especially when I travel," he said. "I never dreamed that I'd actually win." Adding that the first stop on his new motorcycle [image-nocss] will be the mountain roads of northern Georgia, the a 23-year-old said, "I'd like to thank Xyience and QuikTrip for this great opportunity."

Dewey Wagner, QuikTrip's sales manager for the Atlanta division, said, "At QuikTrip, we are constantly looking at ways in which we can enhance our customers shopping experience, through the right product mix and exciting promotions like this Harley-Davidson sweepstakes with Xyience. This promotion enabled our retailers to engage their customers and to deliver healthy sales figures for Xenergy."

He added, "On behalf of QuikTrip, I'd like to congratulate Mr. Riebau and to thank Xyience for working with us to produce a successful promotion."

The promotion ran from July 1 through August 31, 2010, in QuikTrip stores in Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. During that time, the stores offered Xenergy Premium on a 2-cans-for-$3 price promotion, though no purchase was necessary to enter the contestwhich, according to Xyience, was a huge success.

"There was a great buzz around the Xenergy product at the participating QuikTrip location that resulted in great consumer pull," said Michael Levy, Xyience's COO and CFO. "QuikTrip's corporate and retail level management teams provided the enthusiasm and support, which translated to an increase in sales of Xenergy and a greater connection with the consumer for both the QuikTrip and Xyience brands. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with QuikTrip stores."

In other Xyience company news, it recently announced that Jeff Lobus was named sales manager for the Southeast. In his new position, Lobus, a former director of national accounts for Glaceau, a division of The Coca-Cola Co., will drive the sales initiative for Xenergy in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. He has more than 20 years of beverage industry experience.
