Sprite Brings Back Popular Limited Edition

Summer LTO combines lemon-lime with strawberry and pineapple

ATLANTA -- Coca-Cola Co. is bringing back Sprite Tropical Mix for a limited time.

The drink, which combines the crisp, familiar Sprite lemon-lime taste with strawberry and pineapple flavors, is returning for the first time in more than a decade with a new look.

“Fans have thirsted for the return of this popular Sprite tropical flavor for years, and it’s great to finally bring it back to reward their enthusiasm. I can’t think of a better way to let them know that we’re listening,” said Kimberly Paige, vice president, Sparkling Brands, Sprite and Flavors, Coca-Cola North America. “The blend of lemon-lime, strawberry and pineapple flavors gives the delicious taste of Sprite a fresh twist for summer, and for fans unfamiliar with the tropical mix, it’s a refreshing way to quench their thirst for something new.”

Sprite Tropical Mix joins a number of other product variations Sprite has introduced in recent years to offer consumers innovative flavor mixes. Other limited-edition Sprite flavors include Sprite Cranberry, which was first introduced in 2013, and Sprite LeBron’s Mix, which was available in 2014 and 2015.

Sprite Tropical Mix will be available in 20-ounce PET bottles and sold in convenience stores, value and other retail stores nationwide through August or while supplies last. The limited-edition release will be supported through an integrated marketing campaign, including radio and out-of-home advertising and content on Sprite social channels.
