Nonalcohol beverage sales by region
The Northeast—basically the East Coast from Maine to Virginia—is by far the leader in nonalcohol beverages sales, driving nearly $10,000 more per store per month than the national average.
However, the Southeast, which includes Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida, saw sales and gross profits grow the most in 2016, according to preliminary State of the Industry data from NACS.
The national average store sales in 2016 was $24,784 per month, and the average gross profit was $10,272 per store per month.
