Acosta Sales & Marketing Continues Expanding Foodservice Division

Acquires Lott Marketing, LaFond Food Brokers, Kirkpatrick Brokerage

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Acosta Sales & Marketing, a leading full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, has announced the acquisition of three Southwestern foodservice companies: Lott Marketing, LaFond Food Brokers and Kirkpatrick Brokerage Co.

Integrating with Acosta's rapidly growing foodservice division, the combined organizations extend the coverage of the company's sales and marketing services across the southwestern United States.

Acosta entered the foodservice channel in March 2012 and since that time has steadily built a strong presence across the East Coast with a series of acquisitions (see Related Content for previous CSP Daily News coverage).

Complemented by Lott Marketing, with operations in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico; LaFond Food Brokers, with operations in Arizona and Nevada; and Kirkpatrick Brokerage, with operations in Colorado, Acosta's foodservice division now spans both sides of the country.

"These agencies are integral additions to our growing foodservice division," said Mark Hayden, Acosta's newly appointed foodservice division president. "Each brings market leadership in their respective geographic areas, as well as top-notch associates, that will help propel us as we continue to build the leading foodservice agency platform in the U.S. and serve the industry with best-in-class sales and marketing services."

Acosta provides outsourced sales, marketing and retail merchandising services to more than 60% of the top brands in the CPG industry. It has approximately 30,000 associates in more than 75 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
