RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Chester's International LLC., a leading fried chicken foodservice offering in the convenience store category, has announced the grand opening of its location in Don's Valley Market in Rapid City, S.D., near Mount Rushmore and Black Hills National Forest. This is the second store Chester's has opened in Rapid City.
This location is open for lunch and dinner starting at 11:00 am. It offers Chester's bone-in chicken and tenders. Don's Valley Market will also offer Chester's signature potato wedges and biscuits, as well as many other menu offerings to be complemented with Chester's dipping sauces.
"Don's Valley Market is happy to add Chester's to our location. We feel Chester's is a great fit with our philosophy of providing 'home town' service to our customers," said Don Turner, owner of Don's Valley Market.
Also, Kirtland Food Plaza celebrated the grand opening of its new Chester's Chicken on the Fly restaurant in Albuquerque, N.M., on August 8. To introduce the Ridgecrest community to Chester's, Chester the Chicken made a celebrity guest appearance. The store offered customers a grand opening special, the "Chester's Tester." This is a way to try Chester's fried chicken by sampling a tender, a boneless wing, a potato wedge and a biscuit for $1.75.
"I am very optimistic about opening Chester's. I know that our customer count will grow with Chester's in our store. The customers will be pleased with the menu offerings and value," said Ralph Anderson, president of Kirtland Food Plaza.
Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's a leader of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 1,800 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with its menu, Chester's offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's uses only fresh chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe and offers bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.
