Chester's Opens 12 More Stores

Chicken concept grows going into 2012

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Chester's International LLC has added 12 more stores this holiday season. The company recently announced that it had reached the 200-store milestone; this dozen brings the total number of new stores for the company to 212 this year.

The restaurants can be found in convenience stores, gas stations, travel stops, supermarkets and more on major highways and even airports. Chester's offers double-breaded chicken, potato wedges and signature sauces. It also offers dine-in, carryout and catering options.

Chester's 12 new locations include:

  • BP Dayton, Dayton, Ind.
  • County Fair Stores, Marshall, Minn.
  • CRVS No. 7, Tribune, Kansas.
  • CRVS No. 8, Johnson, Kansas.
  • Express Lane No. 1, Columbus, Miss.
  • Fatboy's Pizza & Grill, Martin, Ky.
  • Jumpin Jacks, Bowling Green, Ky. (pictured).
  • Magnolia Shell, Magnolia, Miss.
  • Piketon Shake Shoppe, Piketon, Ohio.
  • Red Apple Texaco, Forrest, Miss.
  • Sanders Oil Co., Tupelo, Miss.
  • Sunny Side Sinclair, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho.

Ron Ison, owner of the new Chester's location in the Piketon Shake Shoppe, said that he is elated with the positive feedback he is getting from his customers. "Our first customer came back and said, 'the chicken is amazing.' The second customer said it was 'mighty fine tasting chicken.' We are really excited to be part of the Chester's family here in Piketon, Ohio."

James Venable, vice president of operations for Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's, said, "It's always exciting to see the Chester's brand grow. Operators are realizing more and more the endless potential of foodservice sales. This group of stores will do well with Chester's."
