Chester's Sweeps Georgia

Adds four sites in convenience stores, travel plazas, supermarkets

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Chester's, a leading fried chicken foodservice offering in the convenience store category, has announced the grand opening of four new locations throughout the state of Georgia. These locations are in convenience stores, travel plazas and supermarkets.

One of these locations, El Cheapo in Riceboro, is a Chester's On The Fly unit. This store offer Chester's chicken tenders, boneless wings, potato wedges, and biscuits. The other locations are at the Brunswick Truckstop in Brunswick, Captains Food Mart in Carnesville and BP Food Mart in Nahunta.

They will offer Chester's signature menu items such as fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits, as well as additional menu offerings to be complemented with Chester's branded sauces. The new Chester's locations will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All locations will offer customers carryout options for convenience on the go.

"We are excited to introduce Chester's to our community," said Nitesh Patel, president of BP Food Mart in Nahunta. "After researching several options for a QSR concept, Chester's brand recognition and quality food offerings were the perfect fit."

Chester's area developer Rick Blanton, said, "It's always exciting to see the Chester's brand grow. Operators are realizing more and more the endless potential of foodservice sales. Everyone sells candy bars, gas and snacks, but not everyone sells fresh fried chicken. I am really glad to provide Chester's in the state of Georgia."

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's is a leader of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 1,800 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with it's menu, Chester's offers, flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's uses only fresh chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe and offers bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides. Chester's Chicken on the Fly, with minimal investment, offers customers a convenient meal solution, giving the retailer more margins all day. The product goes straight from the freezer and the retailer cooks it, packs it and sells it.
