GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Cousins Subs Systems Inc. has opened a sub shop and gas station in Glendale Heights, Ill. The store, which officially opened August 13, will celebrate its grand opening on October 13. The store is owned by George Hartnett.
The structure will feature both the sandwich shop and a gas station. Hartnett, an Illinois native, has been in the gas station and convenience store business for nearly 21 years.
Cousins Subs patrons will be able to get a discount on their gas when they make a sandwich purchase.
"I am very excited to be opening up my own branch of Cousins Subs, I knew I needed to diversity my business endeavors," Hartnett said. "I saw Cousins Subs as the perfect way to attract new customers and give my business the edge that it needed."
Cousins Subs Systems, based in Milwaukee, is a national sub sandwich chain with stores primarily in the Midwest and on the West Coast. It currently operates in 10 states: Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
