Cumberland Farms Christens Its Frozen Beverage

Promoting new name with digital contest, limited-time cup

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. --Cumberland Farms has given its frozen beverage its own identityHyperfreezeand a cool new design.

Hyperfreeze is now available in the Chill Zone section at all of Cumberland Farms' nearly 600 convenience stores throughout the Northeast and Florida.

Customers can still get flavors such as Red Rage and Berry Backlash under the new Hyperfreeze name, and pricing will also remain the same at 89 cents for any size.

To celebrate the announcement, Cumberland Farms is running a digital “scratch-off” promotion offering customers the opportunity to win a free fountain or frozen drink, with the grand prize of free Hyperfreeze for a year. Beginning June 17 and running through July 1, customers can text the word Hyperfreeze to 64827 via their smartphone and receive a link that lets them play the game.

To further communicate the new Hyperfreeze name, special temperature-sensitive cups that reveal a hidden design when filled with Hyperfreeze will be in stores for a limited time this summer.

"We hope the new name will add to customers' fun of mixing up their favorite frozen flavors."
