Emerson Introduces 'Food Quality Reports'

Provides in-store equipment temperature monitoring

ST. LOUIS -- Emerson Climate Technologies introduced its Food Quality Reports as a new service designed to help retailers ensure fresh, high-quality food for customers.

Part of Emerson’s ProAct service portfolio, Food Quality Reports automatically capture temperature averages for selected monitoring points, such as cases and product probes.

Reports highlighting deviations from the established acceptable limits are posted daily, enabling retailers to quickly identify areas needing attention. The reports also indicate defrost events based on either schedules or actual measured temperatures to provide an accurate understanding of conditions that cause increased case temperatures that impact food quality.

Food Quality Reports address many challenges posed by manual monitoring methodologies, such as potential for human error in the consistency and accuracy of recording temperatures. The reporting system averages temperatures each hour and provides a value that reflects a complete sample of conditions over time rather than a narrow snapshot.

Additionally, automating the monitoring procedure increases labor efficiencies by enabling store employees to dedicate more time to other aspects of their job, according to the company.

Food Quality Reporting is the latest addition to Emerson’s portfolio of services offered through its ProAct Service Center, a state-of-the-art facility staffed 24/7 with trained technicians and facility experts.

Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, St. Louis, is a leading provider of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications.
