Manitowoc Foodservice, an Energy Star partner since 2001, will be honored for its leadership in manufacturing products that earn the Energy Star, [image-nocss] the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. Manitowoc Foodservice remains focused on adding to its Energy Star product lineup by continuing to invest in research and development leading to commercial foodservice equipment that is good for the industry as well as good for the environment.
In 2009, the company's new product development, product line extensions and existing model upgrades increased its Energy Star portfolio by approximately 140 modelsan increase of more than 50%.

The 2010 Partner of the Year Awards are given to manufacturers and retailers that successfully promote and deliver Energy Star qualified products, saving consumers money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Award winners are selected from more than 17,000 organizations that participate in the Energy Star program.

"Manitowoc Foodservice brands are producing and promoting products that have earned the Energy Star, showing customers that together, we can increase our nation's energy efficiency and reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases."
