Quick Chek seeks name for frozen-drink line

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Beginning yesterday, Quick Chek, the family-operated chain of nearly 120 fresh-food stores throughout New Jersey and southern New York, began collecting nominations, both online and in-store, in its search for the perfect name to call its collection of frozen drinks.

In the "Name It... Claim It" competition, participants visit www.nameitclaimitgame.com, not only to submit their frozen-drink name suggestion, but also to try their hand at a new online game requiring the skill to fill up a Quick Chek frozen drink cup in just 60 seconds while avoiding [image-nocss] penalty ice cubes. Customers may also fill out a "Name It... Claim It" mail-in entry form at any Quick Chek store location.

Along with the fame that comes with being chosen the one-and-only winner of Quick Chek's "Name It... Claim It" frozen-drink naming contest, the company's grand-prize winner will also receive a Nintendo Wii, along with free Quick Chek frozen drinks for one year. Six runners-up will receive six months of free Quick Chek frozen drinks.

"Name It... Claim it" contest entries will be accepted until Sunday, Sept. 13. Contest winners will be notified by Sunday, Sept. 20.
