Follansbee, W.Va., Gets Sheetz

New convenience store opened on September 2

FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. -- Sheetz Inc. is opened its first new location in Follansbee, W.Va., on September 2. Employees at the highly anticipated store celebrated the occasion with Sheetz president and CEO Stan Sheetz on hand to help cut the ribbon.

"We had a ground breaking ceremony for this store earlier this year with Governor Joe Manchin along with many officials from the city and Brooke County. We have been excited to come back and officially open the store with this wonderful group," Stan Sheetz said. "Our stores in nearby Wheeling, along with all of our stores in West Virginia [image-nocss] do very well and customers there have been very loyal. We can't wait to begin serving a new group of people in Follansbee."

The 5,000 square-foot facility will offer fresh food items such as the MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with the signature Made To Order (MTO) line of Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more.

Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista is going to be available at the new store. Customers can order handmade specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochashot, frozen or iced.

As part of the new-store celebration, the company will make a donation to Special Olympics of West Virginia. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of Special Olympics since 1992, making monetary and product contributions as well as providing event volunteers.

The company operates more than 360 convenience locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
