Giorgio Rolls Out C-Store Pizza Program

Will offset cost of ovens with free products

TEMPLE, Pa. -- In an effort to better serve the convenience store market, Giorgio Foods Inc. has introduced a new pizza program.

Two styles of pizza are available: prebaked or traditional. Depending on the style and cooking technique, fresh pizza can be prepared in four to 10 minutes, the company said.

As part of the pizza program, Giorgio is offering an oven that has the capacity to cook pizzas up to 16-in. in diameter. The oven can cook everything from thin to thick pizza.

Giorgio will offset the cost [image-nocss] of the ovens for c-stores using the new pizza program by giving them free products, it said.

Its c-store pizzas are available in a variety of sizes including 7- and 16-in. prebaked, and 7- , 12- and 16-in. traditional. Giorgio also offers French bread pizza, calzones, ham and cheese stromboli, original stromboli and pepperoni and cheese stromboli as part of its c-store food line. Giorgio's baked or fried breaded finger foods, like cheese sticks and breaded mushrooms, are also available.

Temple, Pa.-based Giorgio Foods offers a full line of off-the-shelf and custom-manufactured products for foodservice use.
