GPM Investments Acquires QSR Franchisee

Begins operation of 7 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Tennessee and Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. -- Convenience-store operator GPM Investments LLC has taken ownership of Broyles Hospitality, the Johnson City, Tenn.-based franchisee that operates seven Dunkin’ Donuts quick-service restaurants (QSRs) in Tennessee and Virginia.

This acquisition will further develop GPM’s existing portfolio in the Southeast region, GPM said.

"These Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants are very well-established within the community and their employees have served customers with dedication and enthusiasm. We are eager to remain on the same path of service with passion and commitment,” said Arie Kotler, CEO of GPM. “Bringing the Broyles Hospitality employees into the GPM family was very important to our leadership team, and we look forward to our continued development.”

Dunkin' Donuts is a market leader in the coffee, doughnut, bagel and muffin categories. The company has more than 12,200 franchised QSRs in 45 countries. Based in Canton, Mass., Dunkin' Donuts is part of the Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. family of companies.

GPM Investments, based in Richmond, Va., operates or supplies fuel to more than 1,100 c-stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
