CARY, N.C. -- The Pantry Inc. is celebrating National Hot Dog Day on July 23 by offering a free hot dog to every guest of its 1,160 grill-ready Kangaroo Express convenience stores.
Guests can stop by any participating Kangaroo Express on Monday, July 23, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to pick up a free Ball Park hotdog. (One per customer, while supplies last.) That's a savings of $1.39. Paired with a Roo Cup refill, guests can pick up a dog and a drink for just 25 cents.
All locations with a grill are participating.
The hot dog has long been a part of iconic American celebrations and pastimes, including Independence Day and summer baseball games. Pairing perfectly with American pride, Kangaroo Express guests can enjoy their Ball Park hotdog while supporting the military men and women who protect our freedom by donating to the Salute Our Troops fundraising campaign.

Through Labor Day, Kangaroo Express is inviting guests to make donations to the Salute Our Troops campaign, directly supporting the USO, lifting the spirits of America's troops and their families; Wounded Warrior Project, honoring and empowering injured servicemen and women; and six state-based military support organizations.
In its inaugural year, the 2011 Salute Our Troops campaign raised $2.5 million dollars, breaking fundraising records for many beneficiary organizations, including the largest grassroots fundraising initiative in the USO's 70-year history.
With more than half of our stores located within 25 miles of a military installation, Kangaroo Express has supported the military and their families for many years, most recently raising $2.5 million for the USO, Wounded Warrior Project and local military support organizations as part of its summer-long "Salute Our Troops" fundraising campaign.
