MANITOWOC, Wis. -- The Manitowoc Co. Inc. has announced the acquisition of INDUCS AG, a leading supplier of induction technology to the global foodservice industry, based in Herisau, Switzerland. INDUCS develops, manufactures and markets an expansive line of advanced technology induction counter-top and built-in products.
INDUCS has a strong global network of distribution partners, including a longstanding relationship with Garland Commercial Range, a Manitowoc Foodservice company, which has marketed induction technology to the foodservice industry in North America for more than a decade. In recent years, Garland Commercial Range was recognized by the National Restaurant Association with two Kitchen Innovation Awards for the Induction Griddle and Induction Braising Pan.

It will sell induction products under the Garland brand to all Manitowoc Foodservice global customers while INDUCS continues to serve its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers and distribution partners.
