Manitowoc Foodservice Promotes Hallett

Company donates funds to Red Robin Foundation following Aurora, Colo., shooting

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- Manitowoc Foodservice has promoted Bill Hallett to vice president global accounts for Yum effective immediately. In his new role, Hallett will be responsible for managing the relationship aspects of Yum! Brands/Yum! Restaurants International corporately and globally; initially supporting the YRI growth opportunities. On his team is Joe Kaplan, vice president for Yum, and Don Alwood, director for Yum, both focused on Yum! Brands U.S.

Hallett has more 20 years of experience in foodservice business development with companies such as McDonald's and Big Boy Restaurants. Since 2005, Hallett held various international and U.S. sales and marketing roles within Manitowoc Foodservice, most recently managing the development of its blended ice program and the general beverage sector.

In other company news, Manitowoc Foodservice has donated $1,000 to the Red Robin Foundation and an additional $1,000 to the In Memory of Alex "Sully" Sullivan donation fund. Sullivan, who lost his life at The Dark Knight Rises shooting July 20 in Aurora, Colo., was one of the eight Aurora Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. team members injured. The other seven are recovering from their injuries.

Donations received from the Red Robin Foundation will be used for needs of the Red Robin eight team members such as medical bills or lost wages. Manitowoc Foodservice president Mike Kachmer also sent a company-wide email telling employees how they could make individual donations to the victims.

"Manitowoc Foodservice is a long-time equipment partner of Red Robin and our team has worked on many occasions with members of the Red Robin team around the country. Through these interactions, we feel a special kindred spirit with all Red Robin team members, and we offer our sympathies and best wishes for those who have been involved in and affected by this tragedy," said Kachmer.
