Maritime Farms Site Adds Subway

Searsport, Maine, c-store will also get upgrades

SEARSPORT, Maine -- Maritime Energy, which operates the Maritime Farms convenience store chain, is putting a Subway sandwich shop at the Maritime Farms Searsport, Maine, location.

Subway will occupy approximately 700 square feet of the Maritime Farms c-store area, including customer seating. Renovations are under way, and the company expects them to take two months to complete.

There will be significant changes to the exterior and interior of the c-store as well, the Rockland, Maine-based company said. Interior construction will [image-nocss] include a coffee bar area, beer port, increased register counter space, new tiling and lighting and many cosmetic upgrades.

An office space on the left side of the building will be available to lease out, the company added.

Subway's brand loyalty and brand recognition is very strong, and we're delighted to be partnering with them. This is a quality offering for our customers, and it will be very convenient for the many transportation drivers who refuel in Searsport, said vice president Susan Ware.
