Sheetz Adds to Ohio Store Count

And completes first wave of new stores in southern W. Va. market
ALTOONA, Pa.--Sheetz Inc. continues to grow in the Canton, Ohio, area with a new store that opened yesterday in North Canton. The convenience retailer also opened its fourth store in the Huntington, W.Va., area yesterday with a location in Hurricane. The opening of that store finishes the first phase of development of a new market for the chain. Three other stores were opened this summer in Barboursville, Milton and Huntington.

The North Canton location officially opened following a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony in the afternoon. As part of celebration, [image-nocss] Sheetz made a donation to the Character Counts in North Canton program.

"Canton has been a great community for us to be a part of since 2003," said Stan Sheetz, president and CEO. "We are looking forward to expanding that relationship to include people in North Canton to provide them with the same excellent service for years to come."

Concerning the Hurrican store, Stan Sheetz said, "The opening of this store solidifies our presence in Southern West Virginia. The others stores that opened earlier this summer have been well received by people in this community. We hope to grow and become an important part of their daily lives."

The Hurricane store officially opened to customers yesterday morning and employees hosted grand opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the afternoon. As part of the celebration, the company made a $7,500 donation to Hurricane High School.

Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista is going to be available at the new store.

Customers can order handmade specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, hot, frozen or iced. Frozen fruit smoothies round out this popular specialty drink menu.
