Subway Adds Honest Kids Juice Drinks Nationwide

Sandwich leader expands its Fresh Fit for Kids menu lineup

BETHESDA, Md. -- Subway has bolstered its health-focused Fresh Fit for Kids’ Meal menu with the addition of Honest Kids juice drinks. The Fresh Fit menu now features Honest Kids Super Fruit Punch, available in 6-ounce juice boxes.

“We’re thrilled to have Honest Kids join the Subway Fresh Fit for Kids meal menu as part of their new lineup of nutritious kids offerings,” said Ami Mathur, general manager of brand marketing for Honest Tea, parent company of Honest Kids. “Joining forces with Subway restaurants is a huge milestone for the Honest Kids brand, and we’re looking forward to increasing access to organic products with simple ingredients in the foodservice channel as consumer demand continues to grow.”

Honest Kids juice drinks are USDA-certified organic and feature no artificial sweeteners; the beverages are solely sweetened with fruit juice. Each juice box contains 35 calories.

“As a mom and dietitian, I think Honest Kids beverages are a great option for kids. It is a staple in my home for my own kids, as it tastes great and is sweetened with only fruit juice,” said Lanette Kovach, dietitian for Subway.

Located in 112 countries, Milford, Conn.-based Subway operates more than 44 franchised restaurants worldwide.

Honest Kids was developed in 2007 by the makers of Honest Tea, the Maryland-based organic bottled tea company.
