BROOMALL, Pa. -- Swiss Farms was among numerous convenience stores to celebrate National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, but now the drive-thru chain is taking things a step further by promoting free coffee with the purchase of a breakfast sandwich throughout the month of October.
Available at all 13 of its locations, the deal pairs any variety of hot coffee, including the chain’s Swiss Signature Roast, Swiss Sunrise Roast or Swiss Decaf, with any of the five new sandwiches that Swiss Farms just rolled out on National Coffee Day.
The sandwiches are priced at $2.99 and are served on croissants. Selections include egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; housemade sausage, egg and cheese; pork roll, egg and cheese; and a lighter option of egg whites, spinach and cheese served on a multigrain English muffin.
Coffee has strong potential to drive foodservice sales, and a promotion of this kind can attract morning visits to convenience stores to give hot breakfast foods a try. Technomic research shows that 58% of consumers visit c-stores specifically for coffee--an increase from 53% who said the same in 2014. Additionally, more than a quarter of consumers (26%) say that free coffee giveaways would influence them to return to a c-store to purchase coffee in the future.
Broomhall, Pa.-based Swiss Farms has locations throughout Delaware and Chester counties in Pennsylvania.
