TA, Petro Holding 'Name the Burger' Contest

Encouraging drivers to submit names for chance to earn 25,000 UltraONE loyalty points

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) has invited all professional drivers to enter its online "Name the Burger" contest. The executive chef for TA-branded and Petro Stopping Centers Iron Skillet restaurants have unveiled burger creations that are awaiting creative and appetizing names. Drivers who submit the winning entries will receive 25,000 UltraONE Points.

The burgers are featured and available for order at TA and Petro full-service restaurants throughout the contest entry period, from April 25 to May 31, 2012. Drivers may order the burgers for inspiration and submit their proposed burger names online at www.ta-petro.com/nametheburger. Two grand prize winners will each receive 25,000 UltraONE points for their winning name, and have their burger name featured in TA and Petro restaurants. Any UltraONE Driver Rewards Program member may enter.

Executive chef Tom Straub of TravelCenters shared his thoughts about the Name the Burger contest. "While I love to create new dishes to bring variety to professional drivers, I am definitely not the best at coming up with creative names for these items. We hope drivers will enjoy these burgers and have a great time naming them," he said.

Both TA and Petro restaurant burgers start with 1/2 pound of chopped steak, and come with lettuce, tomato and pickle garnish on a sesame seed bun. Other ingredients include: TA Burger (teriyaki sauce, wasabi mayonnaise, Swiss cheese) and Petro Iron Skillet Burger (breaded and fried jalapenos, chipotle mayonnaise, pepperjack cheese).

Entries will be judged based on the following criteria by a panel of judges: originality (30%), descriptive nature of burger name (30%) and "appetite appeal" (40%).

The UltraONE Driver Rewards Program enables professional drivers to swipe a card to earn and redeem points and showers at all participating TA and Petro locations nationwide. Points can be redeemed for TA and Petro restaurant meals, travel store purchases and more.
