Tedeschi Freshens Up Shops ... in More Ways Than One

Brings more fresh food into its stores with remodels

ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Tedeschi Food Shops Inc. recently remodeled six locations in Massachusetts, bringing the number of stores remodeled since 2010 to 24. Renovations in Dorchester, Stoughton, Millis, Franklin, Saugus and Fall River are part of a company-wide initiative to ensure that all store locations are remodeled and able to offer an increased assortment of fresh, healthy food options.

The newly upgraded stores now feature an extensive selection of fresh salads, unique sandwiches, hearty subs and healthy wraps that are prepared by Tedeschi Fresh Foods, the company's recently [image-nocss] acquired proprietary commissary.

The retailer also recently hired supermarket veteran Bob Goodwin as its director of fresh foods.

The chain is also offering freshly brewed hot and iced Green Mountain coffee.

These upgraded stores are brighter and easier to shop thanks to an open floor plan, wider and shorter aisles and vibrant new artwork and aesthetics.

The stores held customer appreciation sales to commemorate the renovations. They each featured sampling events treating customers to Tedeschi Fresh Food sandwiches, Frito Lay chips, Edy's ice cream and a large assortment of beverages to thank customers for their loyalty.

Tedeschi said it is eager to continue its renovation process and expand its offering of freshly prepared, health-inspired foods.

Established in 1923 in Rockland, Mass., Tedeschi Food Shops is a major New England-based, family-owned and -operated convenience store chain, with more than $600 million in annual revenue. The company operates 190 locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Tedeschi provides its customers with a family of proprietary brands: TD's Deli and Tedeschi Fresh Foods, Tedeschi Select and Tedeschi Fuel.
