Retailer positioning offer ahead of Derby

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Thorntons Inc. has announced that beginning April 15, customers may now order box lunches online or at any of the convenience retailer's Louisville, Ky., or southern Indiana store locations.

The company is rolling out the offer "just in time for [Kentucky] Derby festivities," it said.

Thorntons Box Lunch Special will include the choice of sandwich, one side and two snacks, for $7.99 (plus tax).

Customers may order online at www.thorntonsinc.com, or fill out an order form at any Louisville [image-nocss] or southern Indiana store location.

The box lunches are made to order by Thorntons' Fresh Serve Bakery in Louisville. Box Lunches are delivered ready to enjoy to the Thorntons location of the customer's choice. Orders should be placed 48 hours prior to desired pick up time. This special is a limited time offer, the company added.

The retailer is also offering the Derby Festival Pegasus Pin at Louisville-area Thorntons locations.
