PHILADELPHIA & SAN DIEGO -- Two national fast-food chains unveiled new limited-time offers week, underscoring the need for new tastes to drive foot traffic.
On Tuesday, McDonald's customers in the greater Philadelphia region were invited to taste McDonald's newest menu innovation: the Cheddar Bacon Onion sandwich. Available through mid-December, this new sandwich offering tempts the taste buds of both chicken and burger enthusiasts.
The Cheddar Bacon Onion sandwich brings new premium toppings of white cheddar and caramelized grilled onions, combined with hickory smoked bacon and finished in a creamy mustard sauce on a bakery style bun to create a one-of-a-kind taste experience. The Cheddar Bacon Onion sandwich is available with crispy or grilled premium white chicken breast or 100% Angus beef.
"We're excited to introduce the new Cheddar Bacon Onion sandwich," said John Durante, president, McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region. "This new premium sandwich offers our customers a delicious and exciting new way to enjoy chicken and burgers at McDonald's with the same quality taste and value they have come to expect."
Meanwhile on Monday, Jack in the Box restaurants added Chili Cheese Curly Fries to the menu at participating restaurants. Jack’s Chili Cheese Curly Fries feature the chain’s seasoned curly fries smothered with beef chili and shredded cheddar cheese.
"With autumn here and crisp, cooler weather ahead, this is a great time of year to expand our menu with a zesty, craveable snack like Chili Cheese Curly Fries,” said Bobby Brown, marketing manager for Jack in the Box. “Using our popular seasoned curly fries in the recipe really enhances the flavor and appeal of this product and distinguishes it from similar offerings on other menus."
