Tyson Introduces Bonici Pizza Brand

Includes doughs, toppings; also offers wings, meatballs
SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- A complete line of pizzeria products is now available all under one brand name, Bonici, from Tyson Food Service. The Bonici brand represents a full-line portfolio of toppings in a variety of sizes, styles, flavors and price points; doughs and crusts, from nearly scratch to heat-and-serve; new popular add-ons customers want with pizza, such as wings and boneless wings for pizza ovens; and more, including meatballs in a variety of styles and sizes for menu items from pastas to meatball subs.

The Bonici pizza brand from Tyson Food Service offers value-added [image-nocss] crusts and doughs from nearly scratch to heat-and-serve, in various sizes and styles. Dough Balls offer application flexibility, while Sheeted Doughs are prerounded and easy to customize. Sheeted Proofed Doughs provide freezer-to-oven convenience, and are completely versatile. Readi Rise Crusts are oven-rising pizza crusts with preformed edges and an authentic pizzeria look, with a soft, bread-like edge and a New York-style chewy, foldable center. Bonici Par-Baked Crusts are partially baked crusts that consistently yield delicious thin-crust pizzas. Three crust edge options are availableDie-Cut, an edgeless crust; Neapolitan, a versatile small-edged crust; and Pizzeria, a hearty large-edged crust. For easy prep and consistent results, operators can look to Bonici crusts and doughs to construct pizzas with a perfect foundation.

Backed by support such as recipes, menuing ideas and merchandising materials, the Bonici pizza brand from Tyson Food Service offers a multitude of toppings for pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, salads, omelets and sauces. Pepperoni (available in Original, Spicy and Beef flavors), sausage (from all-meat to moderately extended, from fine to extra-large chunk style, from premium to economical, the Bonici brand offers the whole range; varieties include Italian, Spicy Italian and Old World Specialties), precooked pork (smoked Bacon Pieces, Canadian Bacon, Pork Topping, Italian-Style Pork Topping, Pork Roll and Sliced Smoked Ham and Quartered Ham), beef (Beef Chunks, Shaved Steak Beef).

The product line includes new chicken products. While pepperoni remains the most popular pizza topping on the menu, chicken emerges as a dominant player within the market. Developed specifically for pizza ovens, new Bonici Roasted Chicken Breast Strips work with any pizza build, as well as in salads, sandwiches and other applications. The fully cooked 1-1/2- by 3/8- by 3/4-inch strip size offers ideal pie coverage.

Tyson Food Service offers new Bonici Wings and Boneless Wings. The new Bone-In Wings are medium-sized to balance operators' piece counts and plate coverage needs. Available fully cooked in Oven Roasted to allow operator flexibility to customize with signature sauces; Hot 'N Spicy for a spicy, glazed option; and Garlic Herb with a dry rub coating that provides unique texture. Created to provide optimum texture when cooked in a pizza oven, the new Boneless Wings include a Hot 'N Spicy variety, a hot and spicy flavor profile with butter notes and a Savory flavor profile variety.

Oven-baked Bonici Meatballs are available in three tierspremium (All-Beef Primo Italian Meatballs in 0.5-oz. and 1-oz. sizes, blended with Italian spices and seasonings and Romano cheese; Beef, Pork Italian-Style Meatballs in 1-oz. and 2-oz. sizes; and Old-World Specialties Meatballs, 1-oz. Italian-style meatballs with extra Romano cheese), select (Pork & Beef Italian Style Meatballs, available in 0.5-oz., 1-oz., and 2-oz. sizes; Pork & Beef Swedish Style Meatballs, available in 0.25-oz. and 0.5-oz. sizes; and Pork, Beef Italian Meatballs, available in 0.5-oz., 1-oz., and 2-oz. sizes) and value meatballs (Beef & Chicken Meatballs: lightly extended beef and chicken meatballs, seasoned with herbs and spices, available in 0.5-oz., 0.75-oz. and 1.0-oz. sizes; Beef, Chicken Meatballs: lightly extended 0.5-oz. beef and chicken meatballs seasoned with herbs and spices; and Chicken, Beef Italian Style Dinner Balls: economical value product that holds well during heat-and-hold situations, available in 0.5-oz and 1.0-oz. sizes).
