Waco Welcomes Chester

Food store adds fried-chicken QSR

PERRY, Fla. -- Chester's, a provider of fried-chicken foodservice programs to convenience stores, announced the grand opening of its newest location in the Sunshine State. The Waco Food Store, operated by Ware Oil in Perry, Fla., celebrated the opening of its new Chester's on Friday, March 6.

"We are excited about bringing Chester's to our Waco Food Store in Perry," said Doug Everett, general manager of Ware Oil. "Chester's great-tasting fried chicken will be a great addition to our location, and we look forward to serving North Florida."

A ribbon-cutting ceremony [image-nocss] took place Friday in honor of the grand opening. Chester the Chicken made a special appearance at the opening to assist in the festivities and take pictures with local fans and employees.

The Waco Food Store in Perry now offers Chester's signature menu options, including fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The newest Chester's location also offers both dine-in and carry-out options.

"I'm always excited every time we open a new Chester's," said Rick Davis, vice president of systems management at Chester's. "The people at the Waco Food Store in Perry are great to work with and are going to do a great job at promoting Chester's."

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's has more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Chester's offers quality products, flexible size and store layout options, training and support.
