Walking on Insulair

Company named among fastest growing in country

VERNALIS, Calif. -- Insulair Inc., maker of patented triple-wall insulated paper cups for hot beverages, was named to Inc. magazine's list of America's 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies.

Featured in the November issue of Inc., Insulair ranks number 237 of 500 companies named to this year's list. Insulair's three-year growth rate of 500% can be attributed to not only the expansion of its foodservice business with customers ranging from local coffee shops to national convenience store chains to fast-food restaurants and upscale resort properties, [image-nocss] but also to its entry into retail markets.

Sold in a consumer pack that features 16-ounce cups and lids decorated with an "old world" map design, Insulair's insulated paper cups are now sold in more than 12,000 retail stores nationwide, such as Safeway, Target, Albertsons and Walgreens.

"We are so proud to be named to the Inc. 500 list for the second year in a row," said Claus Sadlier, president and CEO of Vernalis, Calif.-based Insulair. "We are changing the way millions of Americans drink their daily coffee. Our expansion into retail means that consumers at home can now also enjoy the convenience and benefits of our insulated paper cup to make their own coffee to go."

Insulair Inc. is a privately held company that produces patented, triple-wall insulated paper cups that keep drinks hot 15 minutes longer and hands cooler by more than 20 degrees than standard paper cups. Insulair cups eliminate the need for polystyrene foam cups, cup sleeves and double cupping. Insulair cups are sold worldwide to customers in more than 15 countries.
