Wangerien Appointed VP of Sales & Marketing for Norbest

Turkey processor targeting c-stores with foodservice

MORONI, Utah -- Norbest Inc., a leading foodservice and retail turkey processor, recently named Robert Wangerien as vice president of sales and marketing for the company.

Wangerien brings to Norbest more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the food industry, including his most recent position as senior vice president of marketing at Foster Farms, where he spent more than 15 years. During his tenure at Foster Farms, he directed the company's foodservice business, re-launched the fresh turkey product line and led the growth of the further processed business. Prior to that, he held sales management and marketing positions with Butterball, Cargill and ConAgra.

At Norbest, Wangerien will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities to support the strategic direction and growth of Norbest's Foodservice and Retail Divisions.

The company is targeting delis, convenience stores with foodservice operations and foodservice and c-store distributors.
