Who’s Giving Away Coffee This Weekend?

C-stores, QSRs, coffee shops, more …

SEATTLE -- With Black Friday offering the promise of consumers hitting the mall and big-box stores at all hours, retailers of all shapes and sizes are looking to draw a few extra feet into their stores by offering free coffee Friday or throughout the weekend.

SāvOn Convenience Stores

SāvOn Convenience Stores in New York are providing complimentary 16-ounce cups of Green Mountain Coffee to weary holiday shoppers all day long on Friday, Nov. 25.

Cumberland Farms

Cumberland Farms convenience stores in Massachusetts will provide java as part of its Free Coffee Fridays, which began Nov. 11, and continue through this Friday. Consumers can receive a cup of Cumberland Farms' Farmhouse Blend coffee--any size, any way they like it--free.

Florida Turnpike

The restaurants and gas stations at service plazas along the turnpike will offer free coffee to motorists beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thanksgiving morning, and again from 11 p.m. Nov. 27 to 6 a.m. Nov. 28.

Seattle's Best Coffee

Seattle's Best Coffee, part of Starbucks Corp., will deliver a perk to those who will be hard at work this Black Friday: free coffee delivered straight to their mailbox.

People who will be working on Black Friday can visit the Seattle's Best Coffee Facebook page (www.facebook.com/seattlesbestcoffee) to request a free sample. The first 100,000 people to participate will receive a free sample of Level 3 coffee mailed to their home.

Also, consumers can download a $2-off coupon for the coffee of their choice to redeem at grocery stores and mass retailers that sell Seattle’s Best coffees.

Other

And customers can download a coupon for a free cup of coffee at Zarco 66 Oasis locations in Kansas or Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes in New York by visiting the retailers’ respective Facebook pages.

The average American drinks 3.1 cups of coffee each day, according to Cumberland Farms.
