Wilson Farms Tests Tim Hortons Kiosks

Retailer to offer Canada-based QSR's premium beverages, baked goods

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Wilson Farms and Tim Hortons said that Tim Hortons' premium beverages and baked goods will be available in several Wilson Farms convenience store locations. The six stores will feature Tim Hortons' self-serve kiosks with freshly ground, one-cup-at-a-time coffee, cappuccino and espresso-based drinks and a variety of Tim Hortons baked goods.

Paul Nanula, CEO and president of Wilson Farms, said, "This venture marks an important milestone in the history of both Wilson Farms and Tim Hortons as two businesses come together with these six-store test locations [image-nocss] in the Syracuse region, and that we have one goal in mind of ultimate customer satisfaction."

Tim Hortons recently entered the Syracuse market with three stores and three more to follow by the end of the year.

"Our partnership with Wilson Farms is another way we can provide customers with convenience, quality products and great value," said Mike Meilleur, vice president of U.S. operations for Tim Hortons.

Williamsville, N.Y.-based Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, established in 1969, currently operates 195 convenience store and gas station location across the state of New York.

Oakville, Ontario-based Tim Hortons is the fourth largest publicly traded quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain in North America and the largest in Canada. Tim Hortons offers a menu that includes coffee and donuts, premium coffees, flavored cappuccinos, specialty teas, home-style soups, fresh sandwiches and fresh baked goods. Tim Hortons has 2,733 restaurants system-wide in Canada and 345 in the United States.
