ASM C-Store Team Announces New Leadership, Customer Alignment

Pace, McDonald join sales, marketing agency

IRVINE, Calif. -- Advantage Sales & Marketing's Convenience Store Team has announced new leadership and customer alignment, effective September 12. These changes reflect the importance of the convenience channel as the company remains focused and invests in growing client and customer sales.

Doug Pace will be joining ASM and will have responsibility for leading the convenience store team as director of sales for convenience stores.

"Doug joins ASM with a strong proven track record of success in the convenience store channel in sales, retail, food service and marketing," said Craig Miller, vice president of channel. "With 27 years of industry experience in leadership roles with PepsiCo, Campbell Sales, Coca-Cola and P&G, we look forward to his continued success and growth leading the convenience store team."

Pace will have responsibility for clients, customers, administration and retail. His direct reports will be Scott Bogle, Jim McDonald, Silka Sharp and Lisa Hollingshead.

He will be relocating to Austin, Texas.

Jim McDonald will be joining ASM in a new position having responsibility for customer headquarters and retail as sales manager of convenience stores.

"With 28 years of industry experience with PepsiCo and Quaker in sales, retail and management, Jim joins ASM with over half his career serving the convenience store channel," said Miller. "We are excited to have Jim lead and strengthen our customer focus along with our retail initiative and look forward to his continued success."

McDonald will personally lead the 7-Eleven team and the convenience retail team. His direct reports will be Bill Price, JR Dodd, Charlie Bell and Greg VanderLaan.

He will be relocating to Dallas.

Bill Price will have responsibility for growing wholesale customers: Core-Mark, Eby-Brown, HT Hackney and McLane.

"Utilizing Bill's expertise and industry knowledge will play a tremendous role in growing our wholesale business in the convenience channel," Miller said.
