Bratta will be based out of the convenience-store distributor's corporate headquarters in San Francisco and report to Chris Hobson, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

As vice president of marketing, Bratta will work closely with the marketing team and provide ongoing support for training, development and management. He will be responsible for marketing programs, vendor relations and the company’s strategic initiatives of fresh food and vendor consolidation.

“Jon is a proven industry winner, and his retail results with fresh and foodservice are second to none. Adding Jon to the executive team demonstrates Core-Mark’s retailer commitment to offering best-in-class fresh and foodservice solutions to the customers we serve,” Hobson said.

Bratta has nearly 25 years of convenience-store industry leadership experience. He joined The Pantry, Cary, N.C., as vice president of merchandising for packaged goods in 2011; in 2013, the retailer promoted him to his most recent role as vice president of merchandising for foodservice. Additionally, Bratta spent 11 years in both operations and merchandising with Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc., culminating with the setup of the retailer's pilot fresh commissary and fresh bakery in Southern California.
