C-Storologists Prescribe Dulcolax, Zantac

Boehringer Ingelheim selects TNT Marketing as broker

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. has selected TNT Marketing as its national convenience store broker. Consumer health care products Dulcolax and Zantac will now be represented by TNT Marketing.

Dulcolax is the No. 1 doctor-recommended stimulant laxative brand, the company said. It is offered in a convenience pack suited for the on-the-go consumer. The Zantac family of products prevents and relieves heartburn. Originally a prescription drug, Zantac 150 is now available over the counter.

The name recognition [image-nocss] and medical reputation of Zantac and Dulcolax make these items wonderful c-store products, said Kennith Fries, president of TNT Marketing, Arlington, Texas.

Boehringer Ingelheim is pleased to partner with TNT Marketing to make Zantac and Dulcolax products readily available to on-the-go consumers through the convenience of c-stores, said Barbara Schrock, director of Sales, West, for Boehringer Ingelheim Consumer Health Care Products Division.

The Boehringer Ingelheim group is one of the world's 20 leading pharmaceutical companies, it said. Headquartered in Ingelheim, Germany, it operates globally with 137 affiliates in 47 countries. In 2006, Boehringer Ingelheim posted net sales of U.S. $13.3 billion (10.6 billion euro) while spending almost one fifth of net sales in its largest business segment, prescription medicines, on research and development.

In the United States, Boehringer Ingelheim CHC markets the Dulcolax and Zantac product lines.
