OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP Business Media is pleased to announce that Abbie Westra will become editor in chief of its new Convenience Store Products e-newsletter and magazine, a digital and print product being rolled out in early 2013. Convenience Store Products will be the first and only products publications serving the convenience retailing industry.

"Abbie joined us four years ago and has not only become the face of FARE (Foodservice at Retail Exchange) but has earned the reputation as one of the brightest young talents in our industry," said Jim Bursch, senior vice president and group publisher for CSP. "Abbie will now be working with retailers, suppliers and media buyers in developing both the new twice-weekly e-newsletter and the quarterly print publication. We are very excited to see her apply her talents to these new, industry-first products."

Editorial for Convenience Store Products will include features on product and consumer trends, columns from industry experts in shopper insights, category management and sales trends and in-depth looks at the latest product innovations broken down by category.

"All convenience-store retailers strive for the same goal: to be the most competitive destination for today's consumer," said Westra. "That means staying abreast of the latest product launches and innovations. Convenience Store Products will be the single source for product ideas and information to maintain that competitive edge."

The e-newsletter will reach an audience of 40,000 retailers, both independents and chain units. The quarterly, tabloid-sized print edition will be going to 60,000 key industry decision-makers. Both are scheduled to launch in February 2013. In addition to the e-newsletter and print circulation, Convenience Store Products will be distributed at most of the industry's major trade shows as well as CSP's nearly two-dozen EduNetworking conferences and events.
