NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Two Eby-Brown drivers placed in the 2017 IFDA National Truck Driving Championship held at the Disney Yacht Club Resort in Orlando, Florida, the company announced.
Glenn Anderson, a 24-year veteran from Eby-Brown’s Montgomery, Ill., distribution center, took second place overall in the Straight Truck Competition, and Andrew Spindler, a three-year rookie from Eby-Brown’s Eau Claire, Wis., facility placed third overall in the 5 Axle Competition.
“The competition was fierce with more than 130 drivers from all over the country competing, but both Glenn and Andrew did an outstanding job representing our company and the importance that Eby-Brown places on employing knowledgeable and safe drivers on our public roadways,” said Thomas Wake, Co-CEO of Eby-Brown.
Anderson and Spindler were joined by eight of their fellow Eby-Brown teammates, who were winners of Eby-Brown’s regional competitions.
