Enmark C-Stores to Carry Organic Products

25 locations will offer UNFI snack, beverage, food items

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Enmark Stations Inc. has announced that 25 stores will now carry United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) products in an effort to offer customers healthy snacking options. UNFI is an independent national distributor of natural, organic and specialty foods and related products including nutritional supplements, personal care items and organic produce.

Enmark Stations will offer UNFI snack items such as kale and falafel chips, Tanka buffalo jerky, organic candy, drinks such as kombucha and organic sodas, and frozen products including ice cream and frozen entrees from Amy's.

Stephanie Walker, UNFI regional sales manager, said, "We were very happy when Enmark expressed an interest in our service and products. As the first convenience store chain serviced by our Atlanta warehouse, Enmark's commitment to providing healthy snacks for its customers is a step above what most convenience stores are currently doing."

"Enmark has always had an interest in making our communities healthier. The Savannah Bridge Run has been an important event for us for many years, we've organized the Encourage Health lecture series, and we have a history of working with our suppliers to carry their healthier product options," said Matt Clements, director of marketing at Enmark Stations. "In order to take the healthy options to the next level, we had to seek out a new supplier. UNFI embraced our interest and helped us organize this vision. Over 50% of Americans snack three or more times per day. Why not make it easier for them to make a healthy choice when they snack?"

There are plans for the remaining Enmark stores to start carrying these items in the near future.

Organic grocery stores around the country offer UNFI items. The company is based in Providence, R.I.

Savannah, Ga.-based Enmark Stations, which celebrated its 50-year anniversary in 2013, is a family-run business that operates 60 convenience stores in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
