Rose Retiring From McLane

Vice president of customer relations leaving company in February
TEMPLE, Texas -- Jerry Rose, currently vice president of customer relations, is retiring from McLane Co. Inc. in February 2011, the company said in an internal communication provided to CSP Daily News.

Rose has been with McLane for more than 22 years. He started with the company in 1989 after many years as a senior executive for Sav-A-Stop Inc. During his tenure with McLane, Rose has held several key positions including division president, regional vice president, and vice president of sales and will be retiring after 11 years as the vice president of customer relations.[image-nocss]

"Jerry has built and maintained invaluable relationships with many of our convenience store customers over the years and is well known as an industry leader," Grady Rosier, president and CEO, McLane, said in the letter. "Jerry's high levels of integrity and honesty have served both he and McLane Co. well."

He added, "Those of us who know Jerry will miss his energetic and high spirited personality. He and his wife Marcia look forward to spending quality time with their family and enjoying activities such as golf and racquetball."

Rose also serves as a vice chairman for the 2010-11 National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Supplier Board.
