Sheetz Opens Its First Dual-Lane Drive-Thru

Allows customers at Blairsville, Pa., location to buy food, most merchandise

BLAIRSVILLE, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. opened its 430th store/convenience restaurant in Blairsville, Pa., on October 25. The new store will feature the company's first dual-lane drive-thru.

"We are particularly excited about our new Blairsville location because it will feature our very first dual lane drive-thru," said Steve Sheetz, chairman of the company, who joined local officials at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"This addition will help our consumers obtain the award winning, made-to-order food they have come to rely on, faster than ever with even more convenience," he said.

The Sheetz drive-thru is not limited to foodservice. Customers can buy any item Sheetz sells in the store through the drive-thru, from a gallon of milk to a pack of gum--with the exception of lottery tickets, money orders and alcohol.

As with all new store openings, Sheetz awarded the first 50 customers in line a Sheetz $100 gift card. Sheetz employees also served free samples of Sheetz food and beverages to everyone during the ribbon cutting.

As part of the new store opening, Sheetz has made a $5,000 contribution to the Salvation Army in Blairsville.

The new Sheetz will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and offer fresh food items such as Sheetz' signature Made-To-Order (MTO) items that include Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly-made salads, French fries, onion rings and more. The new store will also feature MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with Sheetz Bros. Coffeez a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista where customers can order handmade specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas--hot, frozen or iced.

Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz, with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and more than 15,000 employees, operates 430 locations throughout Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and West Virginia.
