PHILADELPHIA -- Sunoco Inc.—the official fuel of NASCAR, IndyCar and the National Hot Rod Association—is capturing the “essence of racing” by bottling it. It has introduced Burnt Rubbèr, a his-and-hers eau de toilette with the “sweet smell of gasoline.”
The company is producing the exclusive scent in limited quantities, and consumers can’t buy it, they can only win it by following Sunoco Racing on Facebook.
Burnt Rubbèr TV commercials starring NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson, IndyCar’s Graham Rahal and NHRA’s Courtney Force are now live on EssenceOfRacing.com and are airing during key races for each sanction.
Based in Philadelphia, Sunoco Inc. is part of the Energy Transfer Partners LP family of companies. Dallas-based ETP is partnership owning and operating a diversified portfolio of energy assets. Sunoco's Retail business markets its brand of gasoline through approximately 4,900 gas stations and convenience stores in 26 states mainly east of the Mississippi, from Maine to Florida and west to Wisconsin and Louisiana. Sunoco also has more than 650 APlus branded convenience stores which are company-operated and operated by third-party dealers.
