Utility Lighters Highlight U.S. Army

Net revenue devoted to U.S. Army Morale, Welfare & Recreation programs

ONTARIO, Calif. -- Calico Brands Inc.'s Scripto has added the new officially licensed U.S. Army Utility Lighters to its product line. The products are intended for lighting campfires, grills, candles, fireplaces and make a great addition to emergency kits, the company said.

Offered in single pack with a suggested retail price of $5.99. The U.S. Army Utility Lighters will be available as of January 2012

The lighters will be available in two colors, yellow and black, featuring the trademarked U.S. Army Gold Star logo, and packaged in U.S. Army-branded blistercards depicting the image of a soldier.

The lighters are available in a variety of display vehicles, including floor displays, clip strips, counter displays, open stock and display-a-tray.

All Scripto lighters feature a patented child-resistant mechanism that exceeds Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requirements, but is easy for adults to operate.

Scripto can be found in food, drug, mass merchandise, hardware and convenience stores throughout the United States.

Ontario, Calif.-based Calico Brands is an official licensee of the U.S. Army. Proceeds from sales of U.S. Army licensed products provide support to the U.S. Army licensing program, and by federal law, all net revenue must be devoted to U.S. Army Morale, Welfare & Recreation programs.
